Winter Ball
White trickles down
Covers the town
Shall I stay
and watch them play?
Icy wind blows
Tickles my nose
It calls me forth
from the north.
A rhythmic show
Moves to and fro
My gaze it froze
on dancing snows.
Twirling, dancing
Snowflakes prancing
Musical chimes
Icicles keep time.
Smooth lakes of ice
Dancing entice
A ballroom floor
In grand splendor.
Trees don white
And take the night
In fancy array
They dance and sway.
Icy wind chills me
Tho' I long to see
Shall I stay
and watch them play?
